Opaque 2.3.0

July 28, 2025

Thanks for using Opaque! This release adds workspace policies, custom TLS support, and agentic RAG workflows—alongside major improvements to error clarity, UI consistency, and platform resilience.

New features and enhancements

  • Agentic workflows for RAG (beta): You can now build secure, end-to-end agentic workflows for retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) use cases. This feature includes integrated GPU support, hosted LLMs, NeMo Guardrails for output filtering, and full remote attestation, enabling verifiable and policy-compliant orchestration of autonomous agents over sensitive data. See our documentation for an overview and to get started.
  • Workspace policies: We’ve introduced new workspace-level policies to support secure and collaborative workflows. Approval policies allow you to define custom approval groups for jobs and workflows—helping meet compliance requirements with less friction. Run policies let approved users within a workspace trigger jobs they didn’t create, making it easier for teams to move faster while staying in control. For details see our documentation.
  • Improved error messages: We’ve made it easier to understand what went wrong — and how to move forward. Our platform now returns clearer, more helpful error messages that distinguish between system issues and input-related errors. Each message includes a unique code to simplify troubleshooting and reduce guesswork. These improvements are based on user feedback and designed to create a smoother, more reliable experience for anyone building on the platform.
  • Support for custom TLS certificates and manual DNS: You can now bring your own TLS certificates and configure DNS manually, enabling secure, customer-controlled deployments. This update supports private AKS clusters and Azure Private Link, removing the need for automated certificate management or external DNS services.
  • Unified OTLP endpoint for logs and metrics: The Azure Marketplace deployment now supports retrieving logs from the same OTLP endpoint used for metrics. This simplifies observability setup by allowing you to collect both logs and metrics through a single configuration.

Fixed issues

  • On the Data page, filters could extend beyond the visible screen when too many are applied or labels are too long, making some filters inaccessible and unremovable.
