Notifications

Notifications in Opaque keep you informed about key events—such as job updates, workspace invitations, and system alerts—so you can stay aligned with your team and respond quickly to changes. They enhance collaboration, improve visibility, and help ensure nothing falls through the cracks.

Types of notifications

Notifications are categorized by purpose and user role:

• Workspace invitations and actions (user)
  • Invitations: Alerts when you're invited to join a workspace.
  • Responses: Notifications when you accept or decline an invitation.
• Workspace management (workspace admin)
  • Status updates: Updates on workspace creation, acceptance, rejections, or issues.
• Data and analytics (workspace admin and user)
  • Data management: Notifications for dataset uploads and sharing activities.
  • Job status: Updates on job creation, review requests, and status changes (e.g., success or failure).

Notification details

Each notification provides:

• A brief description of the event.
• A direct link to the relevant page or action.
• A timestamp of when the event occurred.

View notifications

To view notifications:

1. Click the Notifications icon () in the upper-right to view all notifications.
   • Notifications are sorted by the most recent messages first.
   • Use the toggle in the upper-right of the panel to display unread notifications.
   • Use filters to display read, unread, or all notifications.
2. To view detailed information:
   • Click the item to open the relevant page or perform the related action.
   • Once clicked, notifications are marked as read.
